(From Parker Mortuary)Kerry Eugene Allen, age 59, of Joplin, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin.
Kerry was born on July 27, 1966, in Joplin, MO, to the late union of Marlin and Joyce (Hirshey) Allen. He married Amy Clement on December 25, 2014, at Lazarus Ministries. Together they enjoyed 11 years before his passing. Amy was his rock and no matter what was going on around him, he knew she would always be right by his side.
Kerry devoted 14 years of his life to serving as an Associate Pastor at Lazarus Ministries, where he touched countless lives through his faith, compassion, and dedication to others. His ministry reflected the heart of who he was. Kerry also worked as a car salesman for Gearhead Auto Sales for a number of years. He brought the same honesty and personable spirit to his work there that he showed in every other part of his life. He understood the importance of treating people fairly and respectfully.
Outside of work, Kerry found joy in the simple and meaningful things in life. He appreciated the peaceful days tinkering on his Harley Davidson and enjoying the freedom of hitting the open road. He enjoyed fishing, where he could spend time outdoors and enjoy the patience and stillness that came with it. Above all, he cherished spending time with his children and grandchildren, and those moments were among the most treasured parts of his life.
In addition to his parents, Kerry was preceded in death by his sister, Angela Allen.
Kerry is survived by his wife, Amy Allen, of the home; six children, Dakota Allen, Amanda Long, Angelica Voskamp (Bret), Courtney Morris (Amanda Wilson), Charity Hills (Austin) and Blake Hurley, of the home; one sister, Mandy Allen; and two brothers, Daryl Long (Stephanie) and Randy Forsyth.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
Cremation arrangements are under the special care and direction of Parker Mortuary.
