Michael W. Hosp age 49 of Joplin passed away on Friday, January 13, 2017 at Freeman Hospital.
He was born on June 13, 1967 in Joplin, Missouri to John Hosp and Mary (Banks) Hosp. He worked as a courier/supervisor for many years until his illness. He graduated from Joplin High School in the class of 1986. Michael was the type of man you could call at any time and he would do whatever he could to help you, or figure out a way to help when he couldn't.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Hosp of Joplin; a son, John Hosp and fiancé Katie Darby of Carl Junction; a daughter, Miranda Hosp of Bentonville, Arkansas; brothers, Chris Hosp and wife Kim of Webb City, John Greg Hosp and wife Tammy of Joplin; a sister, Kellie Reynolds and husband Chris of Joplin; and 3 grandchildren, Kyle M. Hosp, Airabella R. Hosp, and Lucas Millard. Michael's wishes were to be cremated with no public services. Michael will be missed by all of his family and friends and there is one quote that seems to sum up his life, "May the work I have done speak for me".
