Sharon Kay Tanner, 61, Neosho, died January 15, 2017 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin.
She was born June 1, 1955 in Eagle Rock Mountain, California, the daughter of Herschel and Ollie (Ross) Tanner. Sharon had worked as a supervisor for Crowder Industries, Inc. and she enjoyed crafts. She was the matriarch of the family.
Sharon is survived by her husband Elmer Nims. Additional survivors include two children, Scott Tanner (Deanna Westen) and Becky Tanner; brother, Herschel Tanner, Jr.; three sisters, Beverly Bowers, Phyllis Friend and Debbie Rakes and five grandchildren, Jacob, Joseph and Sydney Tanner, Crystal Kaiser and Shylee Martin. Sharon is preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, January 21, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home in Granby.
