Linda Kay Washington, age 74, Joplin, passed away at 10:35 p.m. Saturday, January 7, 2017 at her home.
Linda was born March 11, 1942 in Carthage, Missouri to the late James P. Williams and Maxine Holman Williams and had lived in Joplin most of her life.
Linda worked production at the former IRECO, Inc. and at Modine Manufacturing for fourteen years, retiring in 2007. She loved to bowl and spend time doing yard work. She will be missed by all that knew her.
She was married to Harvey James House and had two children together. She then married Dixy Hooper Washington, Jr. on October 20, 1995 in Joplin. He preceded her in death on March 22, 2007.
Survivors include her daughter, Kimberly House, Joplin; a step daughter, Misty Steinkamp, Quincy, Illinois; and a step granddaughter, McKenna Kay Wilhite.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by a son, Kevin James House in 2006.
Memorial services are planned for Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel. The family will receive friends following the services at the mortuary.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
