Florene Littlefield

Florene Littlefield, age 84, of Carl Junction, Missouri, died Sunday, January 15, 2017, at Spring River Christian Village in Joplin. She was born March 20, 1932, at Warner, Oklahoma, to Levi Marlnee Jr. and Lillie Bell Snider Marlnee. She was a 1950 graduate of the Pryor High School in Pryor, Oklahoma, and was a career housewife and mother, and later grandmother and great-grandmother. She was always able to make the house her family lived in “home”, and was always active in the churches the family attended, usually as a children’s Sunday School teacher. She was currently a member of the Webb City Church of the Nazarene, where she was very involved with the Prayer Chain and was formerly on the Missions Council. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Rogers Littlefield, and two grandchildren, Russell Paul Littlefield and Angela (McConnell) Littlefield; and all of her brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her children, Rogers D. and Peggy Littlefield of Oronogo; and Mike and Cathy Littlefield of Russellville, Arkansas; her grandchildren, Rev. Duane Littlefield of Malone, Florida, Chris and Tim Ferguson of Pelham, Alabama, and Cherie and Shawn Riley of Carl Junction; her great-grandchildren, Ahnika Littlefield of Henderson, Colorado, Michael Shawn Riley of Carl Junction, Julie Anne Littlefield of Malone, and Jessica Joy and Grace Ann Ferguson of Pelham and two brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law, Albert Yoder of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and James and Barbara Rice of Pryor, Oklahoma.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at the Webb City Church of the Nazarene, officiated by the Rev. Duane Littlefield and the Rev. Nathan Haeck. Burial will be in the Carl Junction Cemetery, under the direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary and Crematory in Joplin.

Pallbearers will be Larry Allison, Dan Soliday, Carl Ritchie, Max Bremmerkamp, Shawn Riley and Mike Littlefield.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time on Tuesday, at the church.
