Winifred “Winnie” Irene Heatherly of Miami, OK passed away Monday, January 30, 2017 at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. She was 75.
Winnie was born October 3, 1941 in Tulsa, OK to Alvin and Nola (Dillinger) Chamberlain. She had lived in Miami for over 50 years. She graduated from Grove High School Class of 1959. She worked in the maintenance department at NEO A&M College in Miami, OK and later was the store manager at Bob’s Shoe Warehouse in Miami, OK. She was a longtime member of the Northeast Baptist Church in Miami, where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was an excellent seamstress and loved sewing, fishing and her grandchildren.
She married Don Heatherly on December 4, 1964 in Miami, OK and he survives of the home. Additional survivors include her son William Paul Bandy and wife Adrianne of Reno, NV, 3 daughters Tracie Kay Stone and husband James of Pryor, OK, Tamara Gail Gibbs and husband Michael of Magnolia, TX and Sheryl Ann Parris and husband Terry of Springfield, MO, 2 sisters Nancy Bandy of Fort Gibson, OK and Marsha Kirk of Joplin, MO, 3 grandchildren, Sarah Elizabeth Hatfield, Jessica Burks and Molly McBride and 3 great grandchildren Avery and Hunter Burks and Balen McBride.
Funeral Services will be Friday, February 3, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Miami, OK. Rev. Steven Hunter and Michael Gibbs officiating. Interment will be in the G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, OK. Pallbearers and Honorary Pallbearers will be Kevin Heatherly, Randy Heatherly, Robbie Rhodes, Michael Gibbs, James Stone, Richard Heatherly, David Payton, Terry Parrish and William Paul Bandy. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home. Services have been placed in the care of the Paul Thomas Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Miami, OK.
