Robyn A. Sunderland, 80, Carthage, MO, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at Carthage Health and Rehab, Carthage, MO. Robyn Ann Basnett was born November 7, 1936 in Carterville, MO to the late Robert Basnett and Crystal (Hamilton) Basnett. She graduated from Carterville High School, Class of 1954. Robyn married James “Squire” C. Sunderland on September 5, 1958 in Carterville, MO; he preceded her in death on July 24, 2010. She worked in the County Clerk’s office for the Conservation Department. Robyn was past matron of the Eastern Star Webb City Chapter 204 for 60 years and a member of the First Christian Church, Carthage.
Survivors include an aunt, Jane Phillips, Bend, OR; and a cousin, Dick Sunderland (wife Barb), Carthage, MO; and several other cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
Visitation will be held 1:30-2:00 p.m., Monday, January 23, 2017 at Knell Mortuary. A service will follow the visitation at 2 p.m. at Knell Mortuary. Minister David Cook will officiate.
