Fred Ramm

Fred E. Ramm, 88, Carthage, MO, passed away Monday morning, January 9, 2017, at his residence. Fred Edward Ramm was born September 8, 1928, in Bailey County, TX, to the late Eddie Ramm and Minnie (Kube) Ramm. Fred married Frieda Mooneyham on November 5, 1949, in Clovis, NM; she survives. He worked as a cattle rancher south of Carthage. In 1997, he was awarded Commercial Producer of the Year by the Southwest Missouri Beef Cattle Association. Fred was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Carthage, where he previously served as a trustee and an elder.

Other survivors include his two daughters, Laura Gaye Dally (husband David), Carthage, MO, and Rebecca Ann Graff (husband Joe), Oakville, MO; one son, Ronald A. Ramm (wife Teresa), Carl Junction, MO; one brother, Ernest Ramm (wife Mary Alice), Muleshoe, TX; twelve grandchildren, Heather Kassing, Nate Dally, Chris Ramm, Casey Ramm, Camy Devins, Caleb Ramm, Jeremy Haun, Eric Haun, William Haun, Andrew Graff, David Graff, and Dana Kohl; 23 great grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Alice Marie Huggins.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, January 16, 2017, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Carthage. Pastor Roger Mackie will officiate. A private interment for the family will follow at Good Shepherd Cemetery, Carthage. Memorial gifts are suggested to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in care of Knell Mortuary, 308 W.
