Alberta R. Hussar, age 90 of Joplin, Mo. passed away late Friday, January 27, 2017 at Joplin Health & Rehab.
Alberta was born on July 23, 1926 in Portsmoth, Oh., the daughter of Brady and Mada (Pigman) Lee. She has been an area resident for the past sixteen years, moving here from Monessen, Pa. Alberta spent her days as a homemaker, caring for and loving her family.
She married John Hussar in 1967, he preceded her in death on September 24, 2011. Survivors include two daughters; Sue Chapasko and husband Steve, Joyce Endicott and husband Ron, both of Joplin, a step-son; John Hussar of Glen Burne, Md., five grandchildren; Scott Chapasko and wife Staci, Courtney Chapasko, Harmony Chapasko, Bryan Grant, Tami Ridenour, nine great-grandchildren; Gabrielle and Drake Caylor, Kristen Grasser, Kayla Hicks, Will and Ashley Grant, Stephen Chapasko, Charles Chapasko, Anthony Chapasko and P.J. Chapasko, and five great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services have been scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will friends during a time of visitation from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
