George Fritchey

George E. Fritchey, 82, lifelong Seneca resident passed into eternal rest Jan. 10, 2017 at the Seneca House Nursing Home after a long illness.

George E. Fritchey was born February 22, 1934 in Seneca, MO the son of George Orval and Lottie B. (Helton) Fritchey. George owned and operated a Fritchey Farms in Seneca. He was a lifetime member of American Quarter Horse Assoc., a member of the National Cattleman’s Association, the Missouri Cattleman’s Association and Bethel Baptist Church. 

George E. Fritchey married Mary E. Hierholzer Feb. 28, 1964 in Miami, OK and she survives.
Additional survivors include one son, Tony Fritchey, Collinsville, OK; one sister, Pauline Anderson, Evans, CO and a host of extended family.

George was preceded in death by his father and mother; two sisters, Gladys Fritchey and Vera Mae Gilman.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 pm, Jan. 12, 2017 at the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Jan. 13, 2017 at the Bethel Baptist Church north of Seneca on Bethel Road, with John Crowley and Truman Brady officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery with Danny Fossard, Jason Ruddick, Justin Ruddick, Bud Crismon, Justin Crismon, and Dave Noah serving as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Willard Gilman, Wayne Gilman, Jeff Gilman, Keith Gilman, Charles Tucker, Bill Parmley and Rusty Winchester.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Seneca House – Christmas for residence or the Three Rivers Hospice in care of the Campbell Funeral Home PO Box 380 Seneca, MO 64865.
