Leslie Ann Story, age 55 of Asbury, went to her heavenly home on Friday, January 20, 2017 at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.
Leslie was born December 23, 1961 in Ravenna, Ohio to the late Edward Sloey and Marie Casamento Sloey and moved to the Joplin area 15 years ago with her family. She was a homemaker, raising 6 wonderful kids. Leslie was past members of Asbury Baptist Church and Purcell Baptist Church.
Surviving Leslie are sons, Thomas Story and wife, Amanda of Carthage, Robert Story and wife, Lillian of Carl Junction, Daniel Story of Asbury, James Story and wife, Niki of Washburn, Missouri; daughters, Carol Keeling and husband, Joseph of Asbury, Christina Jones and husband, Zachary of Neck City; 18 grandchildren that were the love of her life; sisters, Lee McMullen, Carol Ramsdell, Beth Adolph and husband, James, Laurie Smith, all of Brady Lake, Ohio; brother, Wally Sloey, also of Brady Lake; father of children, Timothy Story of Jasper.
Other than her parents, Leslie was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Fertig and Dee Dee Smith and a brother, Edward Sloey.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 24 at 6:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary with visitation to follow. Leslie will be taken for cremation following the service.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
