Michael Blake

Michael Jerome Blake, 37, Stella, was taken from this earth on January 14, 2017 following an automobile accident. 

 He was born December 12, 1979 in Tennessee. Michael graduated from East Newton High School in 1998. He was a proud patriot who loved his country and served in the National Guard Alpha Company 935th Aviation Support Battalion which is part of the 35th Aviation Brigade. The love of his country is the only thing that came second to the love of his family as a husband and father. 

 He is survived by his wife, Joni of 14 years; sons, Dakota, Owen, Josh and Justyn and daughter, Brianna. Michael enjoyed fishing, being outdoors and music. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan and loved wrestling with his boys. He was a role model and a great leader to many. Additional survivors include his mother, Jamie; brother, Jay; sister, Stacy; Mamaw Ruth; aunt, Donna and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He is also leaving behind a Unit of brothers and sisters. Michael is preceded in death by his father, Richard Dane Cook; uncle, Jimmy Warner and Grandpa, James Warner. 

 Services will be held Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Clark Funeral Home in Neosho with Bill Tucker officiating. Interment will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
