Margarete Maria Viele gained her angel wings at 4:45 PM January 8, 2017.
Margarete was born on January 4, 1942 in Forchheim, West Germany to Heinrich and Kunigunda Meyer.
She was united in marriage to Bruce Viele on April 10 & 11, 1959. (German law the 10th, on military base the 11th). Margarete is survived by one son, Roy Viele and wife Vicki of Joplin; 5 grandchildren, Jonathan Viele, Jordan McClintock and husband Kyle, Tedi King and husband Phillip, Curtis Riggs, Kim Hanson and husband Shane; and 9 great grandchildren. Margarete loved animals. For many years she was very active with the Humane Society. She tried to save every dog she met. They were her passion.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at 10:00 AM in the chapel of Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City. Friends and family may start viewing on Wednesday at 12:00 PM, and the family will be present for visitation from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Carterville Cemetery.
