Mrs. Louvina Marie Fullerton, 84, of Sarcoxie, Missouri, departed this life on Friday, January 20, 2017 at The Communities of Wildwood Ranch in Joplin, Missouri.
Louvina entered this life on May 4, 1932, in Avilla, Missouri to the union of the late Harry and Uvalda (Cockrell) Pierce.
She was a lifelong resident of Sarcoxie and a 1950 graduate of Sarcoxie High School.
On July 18, 1950, she was united in marriage to Dale Fullerton and together they shared the last sixty-six years. For more than twenty plus years she was employed as a substitute rural mail carrier, as well as working for the Joplin and Sarcoxie stockyards. Louvina had a passion for the Sarcoxie Cemetery. She spent more than fifty years being involved with the Sarcoxie Cemetery Association. She took great pride in keeping all cemetery records up to date. Louvina enjoyed gardening, yard work, jig saw puzzles, and keeping busy at home. She was a member of Galena Parkhill Nazarene Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Beckie Lou Fullerton, on July 1, 1952; son in law, Bob King; and brother in law, Gerry Pearce.
Louvina is survived by her husband Dale of the home; six children, Connie Harding and husband, Howard of Joplin, Missouri, Dayle Ann and husband, Cal Falmer, of Republic, Judy Adams and husband , Jerry, of Riverton, Kansas, Jayne Haskins and husband, Doc, of Diamond, Missouri, Nancy King of Riverton, Kansas and Mike Fullerton and fiancé, Robin,of Neosho, Missouri; nine grandchildren, five step grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren and seven step great grandchildren; two brothers, Harry Pierce and wife, Patsy, of Lewisville, Texas and Ken Pierce and wife, Becky, of Carl Junction, Missouri; two sisters, Shirlee Pearce of Tempe, Arizona and Jan Brooks and husband, Ron, of Osage Beach, Missouri; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Graveside services for Mrs. Fullerton are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Sarcoxie Cemetery, Sarcoxie, Missouri with Pastors Tracy Rowe and Ron Brooks officiating.
Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are Russ Harding, Marc Falmer, Chris Moss, Mike Moss, Doug Culver, James King and Matt King. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials are being directed to the Sarcoxie Cemetery Association and contributions may be left at the funeral home.
