Raymond Wilson, Jr. was born July 13, 1931 in Neosho, Missouri, the son of Raymond Wilson, Sr. and Nina Wilson. He entered into rest at his home in Neosho on January 10, 2017 at the age of 85.
Raymond was a lifelong area resident and graduated from Neosho High School. He served in the U.S. Army and worked as a lineman for New Mac Electric. He enjoyed woodworking.
Raymond married Rose Lakin on May 31, 1952 and she preceded him in death on August 19, 2004. He is survived by three children, Marilyn Black and husband, Jerry of Neosho; Jimmie Wilson and wife, Tonja of Neosho and Kim Hartzler and husband, Chris of Seneca; eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Mike Wilson and sister, Carolyn Franklin.
Graveside services for Raymond will be held on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017 at 2 pm at the Neosho Memorial Park Cemetery, Pastor Melvin Stapp will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the graveside service at the Clark Funeral Home, from 12:30 to 1:30 pm
