Rowena Ruth McIntire was born December 25, 1925 in Anderson, Missouri, the daughter of Clarence and Fannie (DeLopia) Tippie.
She entered into rest on January 7, 2017 at Spring River Christian Village at the age of 91. Rowena was a lifelong area resident, she graduated from Anderson High School in 1944 and worked as a teller at Commerce Bank for 36 years, retiring in 1980.
Rowena and Gerald Dale ‘Mac’ McIntire were married on Nov. 12, 1945 and he preceded her in death on Feb. 3, 2016. She is also preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Beulah Stalker, Irene Christenson and Beatrice Pace. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews; three sisters in law and two brothers in law.
Services for Rowena will be held on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017 at 10 am at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, Jim Martin and Wes Anderson will officiate. Interment will follow in the Peace Valley Cemetery, Anderson. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the funeral home on Thursday from 9 am until service time. Contributions in memory of Rowena may be made to Calvary Nazarene Church of Joplin or the charity of the donor’s choice, c/o Clark Funeral Home, PO Box 66, Neosho, MO 64850. The family of Rowena would like to thank those at Spring River Christian Village for the care and love provided to Rowena.
