Eva Lea Barwick, age 92, Joplin, passed away at 2:42 p.m. Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Joplin Gardens Nursing Center.
Eva was born June 12, 1924 in Colorado to the late Claud Jones and Edith Jones and had lived in Joplin most of her life.
A homemaker, Eva had worked as a waitress prior to starting a family. She was a faithful member of Fairview Baptist Church.
She married Dickie Dee Barwick on August 9, 1963 in Joplin. He preceded her in death.
Eva was also preceded in death by three brothers; six sisters; one grandson and one great granddaughter.
Survivors include three daughters, Vickie Kennedy and husband, Ken, Barbara Moreno and Jewel Nelson, all of Joplin; a brother, Everett Jones; one sister, Helen Smith; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren.
Services are planned for Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel. Rev. John Mitchell will officiate. Interment will follow at Saginaw Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the mortuary. Pallbearers will be Dave Marbough, Joe Cane, Bryan Estes, Joe Vaughn, Javier Chavez and Zachary Divine. Honorary pallbearer will be Greg Powell.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
