Floyd McGuire, 84, Carterville, Missouri, formerly of Granby, Missouri, entered into rest on May 9, 2019 at Joplin Gardens, following an unexpected illness. Floyd was born November 25, 1934 in Lenna, Oklahoma, the son of Melvin (Mutt) and Viola J. (Jones) McGuire. He had lived the last 30 years in the SW Missouri area.
He was a dairy farmer and had worked in maintenance at EFCO in Monett. He enjoyed horse riding, hunting, fishing and being outdoors.
Floyd is preceded in death by his wife, Sandra on Oct. 3, 2009; his parents, a sister, Barbara Williams and a brother, Bud.
He is survived by his children, Deborah (Deb) Raymer of Purdy, Donald McGuire of Purdy, Justin McGuire of Granby, Joe McGuire of Stella and Austin McGuire of Carterville; three brothers, John McGuire, Earl McGuire and Glenn McGuire; one sister, Agnes Morris; nine grandchildren and one on the way and numerous great grandchildren.
