Tara Michelle Miksell, age 39, Joplin, passed away at 6:18 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at her residence.
Tara was born June 17, 1979 in Joplin to Terry Miksell and Cathy 'Lisa' Seay Alderman. She had lived in Joplin most of her life.
Tara worked in the hospitality department of Homewood Suites for several years. She was a gifted writer that will be missed by all who knew her.
Tara is survived by her fiancé, Johnathan Rider, Joplin; her parents, Cathy and David Alderman, Joplin; her father, Terry Miksell, Diamond; daughter, Anastasia Green, Joplin; two sons, Sebastian Green and Cooper Millemon, Joplin; a granddaughter, Delilah Friel; sister, Brandi Miksell, Joplin; two step sisters, Misty Carrico and husband, Calvin, Catoosa, Oklahoma, Shannon Watson and husband, Richard, Jasper; half brother, Andrew Showalter-Miksell, Joplin; two nieces, Joshlyn Furry, Joplin, Ceara Peggram and husband, Steven, Galena; and a nephew, Caleb Houston and Kaleigh Riker, Reddings Mill.
Memorial services are planned for Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel. The family will receive friends following the services in the chapel.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
