Richard Dean Packer II, age 59, Joplin, passed away at 2:38 a.m. Thursday, May 23, 2019 at his home after a sudden illness.
Richard was born August 5, 1959 in Joplin to the late Richard Dean Packer and Rayma Gibson Packer and had lived in Joplin all of his life.
He worked in the warehouse as a shipper at Lozier, Inc. since 1977. Richard enjoyed all aspects of photography-landscape, portrait and even weddings! He rode motorcycles, enjoyed live music and spent as much time with family and friends as he could. Richard will be missed by all who knew him, including his faithful canine companion, Babydoll.
He married Roxanne Vinson on March 19, 1994 in Miami. She survives at the home.
Additional survivors include his children, DeAnna Packer, Springfield, Amy Amos and husband, Kyle, Carl Junction, Danielle Hammett and husband, Ben, Claremore, Oklahoma, Kaylee Packer, Joplin, Mark Lujan, Springfield, Nathan Lujan, Little Rock, Arkansas, Alexis Lujan, Joplin; grandchildren, Isaac, Micah, Emily, Clayton, Daniel, Alyssa, Lydia, Kobe, Kyler, Kinna, Drake, Briana, Treyven, Tanner, Jayde, Bryson, Eliana, Khaisen, Aubriana; and one great grandchild, Evalynn.
In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by a son, Hayden.
At Richard's request, he has been taken for medical research.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
