Jenaro Carranza

Jenaro Arellano Carranza, 82, Carthage, Missouri, passed away early Saturday morning, May 25, 2019 at his home. Jenaro was born August 22, 1936 in Weed, California to the late Demetrio Carranza and Maria (Arellano) Carranza. Jenaro worked as a crane operator in the railroad salvage industry. 

He married Mary Ellen Perez on January 31, 1960 in Lincoln, California; she survives. Jenaro was a veteran, serving his country in the United States Navy. He was aboard the USS Bonhomme Richard from 1955-1959.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ellen (Perez) Carranza; one son, Jeffrey Carranza, Carthage, Missouri; one daughter, Kathy Brammer, Carthage; two grandsons, Curtiss Brammer, Jr. (wife Heather), and Matthew Brammer (wife Kendra); one great grandchild, Carter Brammer; and also survived by five brothers and sisters, Annie Delgadillo, Petra Sanchez, Lucy Magonigal, Lupe Carranza, all of California, and Sally Cisneros of Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers and sisters, John Carranza of Idaho, Julia Delvillar, and Gerard (Jerry) Chavez of California.
