Jack Cole

Jack Ray Cole, age 69, Joplin, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2019 at Freeman West.

Jack was born September 22, 1949 in Wichita, Kansas, son of the late William Earl Cole and Dorothy Lavone King Cole Ford. He attended school in Kansas before moving to this area where he worked 20 years as a wood worker for Morton Cabinet, and later TNT Woodworking. He then went to work for Associated Redi-Mix Concrete Company, which he did for 18 years before retiring in 2012. He then drove a parts delivery truck for O'Reilly Auto Parts. He was a member of McKinley Baptist Church.

Jack loved spending time with his family, from coaching his boys little league, to later being a little league umpire, to spending time with family camping and fishing, he was always involved with his family. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle.

In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by a son, Jack V. Cole.






 

Survivors include his wife of over 42 years, Marsha L. Mallonee Cole; children, Donovan Cole of Springfield, Missouri, Corey Hickman of Joplin, Tina Cole of Warrenton, Missouri, and Kevan Cole and wife Tonya of Joplin; 13 grandchildren including Shaya Faircloth and husband James of Joplin; 13 great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert Cole and wife Kay of Andover, Kansas, Richard Ford of Carterville, Missouri, and Jack Ford, Jr. of Galena, Kansas; sisters, Joyce Stallings, Margie Camacho both of Wichita, and Ivey Myers of Seneca, Missouri; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in Parker Mortuary Chapel with David DuRall officiating. Interment will follow in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery with family serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Parker Mortuary on Wednesday from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.
