Dr. Millard Bain Box, Lebanon, MO went home to be with his Lord on May 31, 2019, at the age of 102 years, eight months, and thirty days. He was born September 1, 1916 in Seneca, MO to Alonzo L. and Millie (Atkins) Box.
Dr. Box was an ordained Southern Baptist minister and had 87 years of continuous ministry. He lived in Southwest Missouri for many years; he had evangelized nationally and internationally. The past few years were spent in ministry in Alabama and North Carolina before returning to Missouri in April 2019.
Dr. Box first married Ethel (Ecke) Brown on December 25, 1940; she preceded him in death on May 14, 1998. He then married Rachel Mayfield-Biggs on September 5, 1998 in Fair Hope, AL; she survives of the home.
In addition to his wife, Rachel, Dr. Box is survived by his children, Judi Trimble and husband, John and Stephen Box and wife, Melissa; one nephew, Alfred Lord; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, June 8, 2019 at Clark Chapel of Memories, Neosho, MO, with Reverends Ronald Robinson, Brad McClain, Ray Mayfield, and Stephen Box officiating. Interment will follow in Mayfield Cemetery, Goodman, MO. A time of visitation will precede services on Saturday beginning at 10 am until service time.
