Murrell L. Bass Sr., age 83, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2019 at his home in Joplin. Mr. Bass, son of the late Charles and Lalinda (Johnson) Bass was born on March 14, 1936 in Joplin, MO.
He was the owner and operator of Quality Upholstery on Broadway in Joplin and then he worked For Able Body for several years. He enjoyed working and restoring old cars and belonged to the Ozark Studebaker Club and traveled to many car shows.
Survivors include his son Murrell Bass Jr. of Joplin, four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son Charles Bass and a daughter, Tammara Bass, Four brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 31, 2019 at 11:00 am at the Mason-Woodard Mortuary in Joplin with burial to follow at the Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 31, 2019 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at the mortuary.
