Pearl Cleo Hood, age 90, of Miller, Missouri, passed away at 4:37 a.m. on Thursday, May 30, 2019, at her home. She was born April 16, 1929 in Hancock County, Illinois, the daughter of Harold Everett and Gladys Cleo (Mapes) Mosher.
Pearl retired, in March of 1991, after 20 plus years, from the Dietary Department at the Missouri State Chest Hospital, which became the Missouri Rehabilitation Center in Mt. Vernon.
On February 4, 1948, she married Frank Edward Hood, in Miller, Missouri. He preceded her in death on November 29, 2001.
Pearl is survived by three daughters, Freeda Smith and her husband, Dean, of Aldrich, Missouri, Patricia Harris and her husband, Dennis, and Klista Daniel and her husband, Milo, all of Miller, Missouri; three sisters, Mae Washam and Rosemary Stanley and her husband, Dan, of Carthage, Missouri and Phyllis Johnson and her husband, Terry, of Jasper, Missouri; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Pearl was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Gladys, husband, Frank, daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Jerry Pennington, two brothers, John Everett Mosher and Keith Mosher, sister, Dorothy Baker, granddaughter, Melinda (Harris) Myers and great-grandson, Logan Pennington.
A visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2019, at the Morris-Leiman-Mosher Funeral Home in Miller with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at the Sycamore Cemetery. Online condolences may be shared at www.FossettMosherFuneralHome.com.
