Jamie Schoelzel

Jamie Lynette Hobbs-Schoelzel, age 50, of Butterfield, Missouri, passed away May 14, 2019 at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.

She was born September 28, 1968 in Miami, Oklahoma, the daughter of Doyle Andrew and Frances Ann (Still) Hobbs.

On April 28, 2017 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, she was united in marriage to Jon Schoelzel, who survives. Also surviving are her parents, Frances and Don Hobbs of Butterfield, Missouri; her children, Jason Hobbs of Branson, Missouri, Jessica Weston of Eagle Rock, Missouri, Nathan Weston of Butterfield, Missouri, Courtnie Welch of Bentonville, Arkansas, Meg Beck of Cassville, Missouri, Tyler Schoelzel of Cassville, Missouri and Trevis Schoelzel of Cassville, Missouri; one brother, Kyle Hobbs and his wife Christie of Cassville, Missouri; four sisters, Tricia Richardson of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Tammy Arnold and her husband Dewayne of Washburn, Missouri, Gail Tiner and her husband Rick of Centerton, Arkansas and Teresa Chappell and her husband J.R. of Exeter, Missouri; ten grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.








Preceding her in death were her father, Doyle Hobbs; infant daughter, Kendra and one brother, Gary Hobbs.

Jamie grew up and attended school at Cassville. After high school she attended Neosho Beauty School and worked as a hairdresser for several years. Later she attended Springfield Everett College to become a Dental Assistant. She then went on to work for the Barry County Sheriff’s Office as a Correctional Officer before opening a daycare three years ago in Butterfield. She was of the Baptist faith and was saved as a young girl.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 20, 2019 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Danny Ledbetter will conduct the services. Burial will be at Maplewood Cemetery in Exeter.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Sunday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.

Contributions may be made to Ronald McDonald House in memory of Jamie.
