Carol Randall

Carol Jean Fain Randall left this earth for her heavenly home on May 29, 2019 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, MO. Carol was born on October 27, 1934 in Baxter Springs, Kansas to L.D. and Mary Ellen Fain. She is a 1952 graduate of Baxter Springs High School.

Carol will be lovingly remembered as a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Her contagious laughter endeared her to the many lives that she touched. Carol was a kindergarten teacher in Quapaw, OK in the sixties. She started working in the abstract office of Ottawa County and later elected the first female county clerk.

Carol married Lloyd Randall in 1952. They were married for 58 years before he passed in 2010. They had two daughters and lived in Quapaw, OK for most of their marriage. Carol was doubly blessed to find love twice. She has shared life with Bill Harris for the past nine years. Bill and Carol enjoyed traveling together, visiting family and friends, and seeing the country.








Carol is survived by her family, daughter Kim Higdon and husband Danny, daughter LeaAnne Mullin and husband Ryan, granddaughter Christina Higdon, grandsons Jeremy Higdon, Bryan Higdon, and Cory Higdon, all of Joplin, MO. Along with 9 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Shirley Kingrey, of Baxter Springs. Cherished memories will include her delicious homemade pie crust and pudding in a cloud.

The life of this much loved and selfless lady will be remembered and celebrated on Saturday, June 1, at Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Miami, OK. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and a private graveside service for family will take place following.
