Fue Yia Yang

Fue Yia Yang, a hard-working, loving father who unexpectedly passed away on May 3rd, 2019 due to a heart attack at the age of 55.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kayia Yang. He leaves behind three sons and five daughters, Tou (married to Kari Thao), Vong, Eric, Bee (married to Moua lee Her), Maixee (married to Chong Vang), Maithao (married to Kong Vang), Tina ( married to Peng Moua). He is also a proud grandfather to nineteen grandkids, Christy, Chao, Jessy, Amanda, Bobby, Naomy, Kaily, Alexis, Ivan, Bryton, Abigail, Ethan, Apollo, Evelyn, Bianca, Anna, Aries, and Chase.

Son of Cher Pao, Mai Lor (deceased biological mother), and Chao Xiong (stepmother). Brother of Shoua, Neng, Blong, Moua, Kao, Jao, Xyo, Ntxoo, Der, Nhia, Jane Xee. Yia Yang was born on December 31st, 1963 in Xaithong, Laos. Yia grew up in Laos and and moved to a refugee camp, Bahn Vibnais, Thailand in 1978. There he worked as a silversmith. 

In 1980, Fue Yia married Houa Lee and divorced in 1981. 

In 1982, Yia married his wife Ka Yia Vang. In 1989, Yia arrived in Akron, OH from Thailand. Shortly afterwards he moved to Stevens Point, WI and then to Milwaukee, WI. Yia earned his CNC machining certificate and worked as a CNC machinist for 12 years. In 2007, he moved to Missouri to own and work on a poultry farm. On May 3rd, 2019, Yia passed away while going to work at R&M in Purdy, MO.








Yia is remembered by his family and friends as a loving father, husband, grandfather, brother, and son. He loved and cared for his family. He loved to share his stories and experiences. His love, care, and positive spirit will always be remembered because of the examples he has set for us. Yia is greatly loved and will be missed.

Services will be held Monday, June 3, 2019 at Maplewood Cemetery in Exeter, Missouri under direction of McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton.

The family will receive friends Saturday, June 1, 2019 and Sunday June 2, 2019 at McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton.
