Eileen Mae Adams, age 68, passed away at 7:11 pm, Monday, May 20, 2019 at her home following an illness.
Eileen was born June 1, 1950 in Peoria, OK. Her parents were Mike and Verna Mae (Jimerson) Carver. She was raised in Peoria and graduated Quapaw (OK) High School with the class of 1968. She moved to Galena in 1977.
She had worked as a bookkeeper at Frank Scott Chrysler in Joplin, MO before working at Central Office Products for several years. She enjoyed bowling, camping and fishing and in recent years, she enjoyed reading and going to casinos.
Eileen was married to Raymond Adams Jr on October 14, 1977 in Joplin, MO. He preceded her in death Jan 19, 2014. She was also preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Noma Jean Holt, Kathleen Wedell, and Rose Brown, and two brothers, Loran Carver and Norman Carver.
She is survived by 4 sons, Paul Martin, Galena, John Adams (wife, Shelley), Galena, Kevin Adams, Rogersville, MO, and Bradley Adams, Carl Junction, MO; 2 brothers, Wayne Carver (wife, Pearl) Dallas, TX, and John Carver (wife, Teresa) Carl Junction, MO, 3 sisters, Loretta Aquino, Benbrook, TX, Carol Eddy (husband, Jack) Meridian, KS, and Wilma Scott (husband, Dennis) Ozawkie, KS; 11 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren, and 3 step great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 9:30 am, Friday, May 24, 2019 at Hill Crest Cemetery, Galena, KS. Matt Derfelt will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena, KS>
