Larry is survived by his two children, Lisa Borland (Dustin) and Mark Glaze (Michelle) of Carthage, a brother Morris Glaze (Rita) of Joplin, two grandchildren, Jaden Glaze and Kylee Simmons of Carthage, and one niece, Kathy Thompson of Anacortes, WA. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Billie Ann Schooler of Anacortes, WA and a niece, Cindy Schooler.

After graduating from Carthage High School in 1959, he joined the U.S. Navy. He served on board the U.S.S. Lexington in the Gulf of Siam and later the U.S.S. Thetis Bay in Panama Canal and Guantanamo Bay. After leaving the Navy, Larry and Judy owned and operated a successful dental and medical prosthetics lab in Wisconsin. They later sold the business and moved back to Carthage.

After returning to his hometown, Larry began creating environmental art and furniture from naturally shed antlers, roots from fallen hedge trees and carved gemstones. His work adorns the homes of former Presidents George H. W. and George W. Bush as well as numerous celebrities all over the world.

Above all else, Larry lived by God, Family and Country. He was a generous philanthropist who donated his artwork to raise money for breast cancer research, Catch-a-Dream, National Rifle Association, Ducks Unlimited, National Wild Turkey Federation, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and many more.

Larry was an amazing, husband, father, grandfather, friend and patriot. He will live forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, as well as his artwork that decorates the lives and homes of so many.

A private service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to the Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks, 620 W. Republic Road, Suite 197, Springfield, MO 65807.
