William Edward “Ed” Bandy III, age 75, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2019 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin. Mr. Bandy, son of the late William Edward and Ethel (Bellum) Bandy Jr. was born on September 5, 1943 in Neosho, MO.
Ed grew up and received his education in Neosho. He was the owner and operator of Bandy Motors in Neosho and was the previous owner of Valley Auto Auction and the Sinclair Station in Joplin.
In 1987 he met Earlene Olds and together they enjoyed time spent watching Nascar, traveling, and traveling to various casinos where Ed was an avid poker player.
Survivors include his significant other Earlene Olds, of Joplin; one daughter, Stacy Bevan, and her husband, Tripper, of O’Fallon, MO; two grandchildren, Peri Bevan and Reece Bevan, both of O’Fallon, MO; one brother, John Bandy, and his wife, Sandy, of Joplin; three step-sons, Gary Hood, of Tulsa, Richard and Shane Olds, both of Joplin; one step-grandson, Cash Olds, of Joplin.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at 2:00pm at the Mason-Woodard Mortuary in Joplin with burial to follow at the Osborne Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 28th from 6:00pm till 7:00pm at the mortuary.
