We regret to inform you that retired JPD K9 Scout passed away yesterday evening after a short illness.
Scout joined our department in 2010 and worked with Officer Josh Hanes until Hanes was promoted, and then was handled by Officer Brett Davis. Scout retired in 2016 and lived with Officer Davis and his family as a loved family member.

Sad to lose a loyal servant I appreciate the Davis family sharing their home and love with him. I know it's a difficult time .Please accept my sympathy
