(From Derfelt Funeral Home)Roger Allen Wormington, age 60 of Riverton, Kansas, passed from his earthly life on February 2, 2022, in the comfort of his own home following a courageous battle over the span of 17 years to four different cancers and a stem cell transplant.
Roger was born on February 2, 1961 in Purdy, Missouri, to Roy and Ruth Wormington. Roger was raised in Cassville, MO and at an early age chose to join the Army in 1977 where he was stationed in West Germany.

After his law enforcement career, and until retirement, he spent his time working with Wal-Mart where he became a Co-Manager and worked at several locations throughout Kansas and Missouri.
Roger was a member of Christ Point Church where he loved being a part of the praise and worship team. He loved his church family, smoking meats, his cattle, and his family. Roger never met a stranger (our social butterfly) and truly saw the best in others. He will be missed by all who knew him.
