Juan Delacruz-Moquete

Juan Jose Delacruz-Moquete, age 60, of the Dominican Republic, passed away on February 9, 2022, in Springfield, Missouri. Juan was born in San Francisco de Macoris, Dominican Republic to Juan Ubaldo Delacruz Y Geraldino and Luisa Moquete on December 9, 1961.

He attended High School in the Dominican Republic and immigrated with his family to New York City in 1987. He loved a new adventure, and lived in Orlando, FL, Hartford, CT, and Allentown, PA for many years. 

He earned various certificates and licenses in construction and maintenance through the years. He worked for several companies, including his own, House and Home Handyman Services.

Juan married his beautiful wife Trisha (Felix) Delacruz in 1984. To this union were born three children, Ivonne, Juan Jose Jr., and Indiana, as well as grandchild Anastacia who they raised as a daughter.

Juan's father, Juan Ubaldo Delacruz Y Geraldino; and grandson Jonathan Almaraz preceded Juan in death.

Juan is survived by his mother, Luisa Moquete of the Dominican Republic; wife, Trisha of the home; daughter, Ivonne Delacruz and husband Fabian Malagon of Neosho, MO; son, Juan J. Delacruz, Jr., and partner Rudy Kelis Ramirez of the Dominican Republic; daughter Indiana Delacruz-Woods and husband Jacob Woods of Neosho, MO; seven sisters Belkis, Juana, Morena, Carmen, Cecilia, and Ines; nine grandchildren Kayra, Aaliyah, Catherine, Maya, Marilyn, Mia, Lillith, Finnegan, and Luna; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He enjoyed spending time with his cat, Princess Pochi, and devoted much of his time to making sure she was happy and fed. Princess Pochi was his pride and joy. He also enjoyed watching Mexican Westerns, telenovelas, and finding deals on Craigslist. Juan was a man of few words, but he always took pride in his job, his home, and his family. He will be missed and remembered every day.
