(From Ozark Funeral Home)Mr. Jerry McNelly, of Pineville, Missouri, died peacefully on Sunday, February 13, 2022, at Circle of Life in Bentonville, AR surrounded by his family at the age of 83.
Jerry was born September 3, 1938, in Bentonville, Arkansas, where he lived most of his life.
On May 31, 1957, he was united in marriage to LaVina Sigler at the old Wittenburg Church near Jane, Missouri. He worked hard throughout his life at various jobs to provide for his family.
After retirement Jerry and LaVina purchased their farm in Pineville, where Jerry raised cattle for many years. They were lovers of horses and were able to go horseback riding on the trails in Huckleberry Ridge Conservation Area which adjoined their farm. Jerry and LaVina had flea market booths in their later years and attended auctions to acquire merchandise to be sold there. These auctions were a great pastime for Jerry.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; Francis and Hazel McNelly, a daughter Brenda McNelly, his twin brother, Larry and brother, Irvin McNelly, and a sister Verinia Warren.
He is survived by his wife, of 64 years, LaVina Sigler McNelly, two daughters; Carolyn York and husband Terry and Danna Sands and husband Dale; a son; Jerry McNelly and wife Diana, grandchildren; Karen Scherrer, Ryan West, Adam West, Jerran Winn and Carter York, and four great grandchildren, Siblings; Joyce Bone, Lometa Sandlin, Lawanda Shockley and husband Don, Linda Gorman, Pat Stanfield, and Mary Dillow and husband Calvin, as well as a host of other family and friends that will dearly miss Jerry.
