Linda Fry

Beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, Linda Kay ” Fred” (Adolf) Johnson Fry, 78, died February 23, 2022, at the Granby House care center in Granby, Missouri after a long illness. Linda was born July 24, 1943, in Lovell, Wyoming, the daughter of Jake and Fernith (Allred) Adolf.

Linda grew up in Lovell, Wyoming and graduated from Lovell High School in 1961. She also graduated from the Lovell Seminary while in high school and was a member of the LDS church where she served in the Primary and influenced the lives of many young people. 








She loved to sing and was excited by every opportunity to share her talents. She was known for her compassionate spirit and nature and loved to serve others all through her life. She touched many lives and was loved by all.

Linda was self-motivated, determined, and hardworking - traits that allowed her to overcome many challenges and difficult situations in her life. As a young single mom, she worked various jobs to support her family. She relocated several times due to either relationships or opportunities, living in Utah, Colorado, Texas and finally settling in Missouri. After moving to Missouri, Linda was the head of security for Allco Chemical for eight years until the company was sold. She then worked for over 30 years as a manager of the Sonic Drive-in in Neosho until she retired due to poor health. “Fred” was a friend, mentor, and “second mom” to many of the young people she worked with at Sonic.

Linda married the love of her life, Kennith Benjamin “Kenney” Fry on September 11, 2004. They spent many happy years together sharing lots of laughter and an unwavering love until Kenney passed away on November 14, 2021. Besides her husband Kennith, Linda was preceded in death by her parents Jake and Fernith (Allred) Adolf, her sister Barbara Skinner, and great grandson Drew Johnson. She is survived by three children, Chiree Baker (Garry), of Neosho, Cody Johnson (Misti) also of Neosho, and Christy Sanders (Craig) of Linwood, Kansas, brothers, and sisters Patricia Gail (N. Lee) Allphin of Stark City, Mo., Barton Jacob Adolf of Cody, Wyoming, Darlene (Ben) Beasley of Hendersonville, N.C., and Gregory Jay Adolf (Linda) of Oregon City, Ore, sixteen grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 5th at Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories in Neosho, Missouri, with burial at Oronogo Cemetery in Webb City, Missouri. The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on Friday, March 4, 2022 in the funeral home. The family wishes to express thanks to all of the friends and extended family and the staff at Granby House for all their kindness and compassionate support during this difficult time.
