(From Parker Mortuary)Harold Edward Malone Jr., age 67, departed this life to enter his eternal home in heaven on Saturday, February 19, 2022, after a short battle with cancer.
Harold was born June 15, 1954, in Independence, Kansas to the union of Harold Sr. and Birdie (Briles) Malone. He attended Liberal High School and was a 1972 graduate. After high school he worked as a construction worker for B&H Construction for over 40 years.
He married the love of his life, Charlotte O’Neal, and they were blessed with over 25 years together before her passing on September 14, 2018. He loved fixing old cars, gardening, reading his bible, watching auction shows, and mowing his lawn. It was not unheard of to catch him mowing his lawn several times a week. He was a loving husband, father, and son.
Harold is preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Malone; his dad, Harold Sr.; and two brothers, Tim Malone and Tom Malone.
Harold is survived by his mom, Birdie Malone; one son, Jaylee Hardin; five step-children, Terese Stalman, Darle Bell, David Fleener, Anthony Fleener, and Miika Duncan.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers donations be made out to Lighthouse of Worship, Liberal.
Memorial service will be held Saturday, February 26, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. at the Lighthouse of Worship, Liberal, with Pastor David Beard officiating.
