Brian Jones

Brian David Jones, age 58, passed away at 5:45 pm, , Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at Labette Health, Parsons, KS, following an illness.

Brian was born October 2, 1963, in Parsons. His parents were Donald Lee and Rojean Ann (Beeman) Jones. He had lived in Oswego since 1994, moving from South Weber, Utah.








He served our country in the US Coast Guard and in the US Air Force. He then worked as a civilian at Hill Air Force Base in Utah as a sheet metal mechanic. He was also a mechanic, machinist, CNC programmer, maintenance technician, and a volunteer firefighter in South Weber. He was a musician and loved playing bass guitar, running sound equipment for bands, and working on music gear. He also enjoyed going to concerts, fishing, watching baseball games, and drag racing. He was an avid supporter of the Second Amendment. He was known as Mr. Fix-it. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. He was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, and son. He went above and beyond for his loved ones, always taking care and going out his way for everyone without being asked.

Brian was married to Kathy Pentz on July 25, 1986 in Morgan, Utah. She survives.

Additional survivors include one son, Brian David Jones Jr, Oswego; one daughter, Sariah Jones Walters (husband, Joseph), Joplin, MO; one brother, Ricky Jones (wife, Jacquie) Kaysville, Utah; his mother, Rojean Jones, Grove, OK and three grandchildren, Allyson, Korbin, and Roman.

He was preceded in death by his father, and one brother.

Brain was entrusted to Derfelt Funeral Home, Oswego, KS for cremation.
