(From Buchanan Funeral Home)Arlene Frances Rainwater of Monett, Missouri passed from this earth surrounded by family and loved ones in her home early on Friday, February 18, 2022 at the age of 61 years following a hard battle with Cirrhosis.
Arlene was born on Friday, November 18, 1960 to John (David) Rainwater and Frances Withnell (Farmer), in Granby, MO.
Arlene was a longtime resident of Neosho, MO. and after obtaining her GED, she graduated from Crowder Community College in Neosho, Mo. in 1995 with an A.A. in Business Management.
With a unique sense of humor and a laugh and a smile that could dominate any environment, Arlene inherited the family’s ability to tell a great story and share funny memories like no one else. She was also a pinball wizard. Additionally, Arlene had a love of Chiefs football, gardening, plants, animals, and nature and her three surviving children, Joe Travis Rainwater (Age 41) and wife Holly (Spear) of Cottage Grove, MN, Chelsea Maureen Hawkins (Age 33) of Springfield, MO., and Dakota Bruce Hawkins (Age 30) and wife Tiffany (Wilson) of Marionville, MO. feel fortunate to have inherited those traits from her.
Arlene was preceded in death by her aforementioned parents, brother Samuel Rainwater, and her Stepdad, Glen Withnell, Sr.
In addition to her three surviving children, Arlene is survived by Stepmom Betty Rainwater (Wolken) of Kansas City, MO.; sisters Sharon Rainwater of Joplin, MO. Lisa Kay Rainwater of Verona, MO.; brothers Leslie Rainwater and his wife Shawndel (Jones) of Neosho, MO., James Rainwater of Neosho, MO. and Glen Withnell Jr. of Verona, MO. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, (Leah, Hallee, Gabriel, Danielle, Khloe Frances, Alexandria, Gracelyn, Jameson, Spencer, Patrick, Garrett, and Marshall), and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and loved ones.
In accordance with final wishes of Arlene and her children, no funeral services will be held, but the family will plan a celebration of life at a later date to commemorate her life and share in the many fond memories that will be held dear to their hearts.
