Beth Brower

(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)

It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that we tell of the passing of our beloved wife, mother Nana and sister, Laurie “Beth” Brower. She passed from this life on Wednesday February 23, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family.

Beth was born on June 14, 1962, in Joplin, the daughter of the late Rusty and Bonnie (Jones) Haynes. She has been a lifetime area resident. She graduated from Memorial High School in 1980. Soon after graduation she married her high school sweetheart, Michael Brower on October 3, 1980. Together they were blessed with two children.

Beth worked as a medical receptionist for Dr. Coy and Dr. Baker. She was a longtime member of Mount Hope Church of Christ and a current member of Rocketdyne Road Church of Christ in Neosho, MO.
Her life and love was her family, especially her eight grandchildren and two children. She enjoyed attending their various sporting events and cheering them on.

She also regularly attended MSSU Basketball and Outlaw Baseball games. She was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan. She liked traveling with her husband. In the past two years they visited Mt. Rushmore, Yellowstone National Park, the Grand Canyon and Hawaii for their 40th anniversary. She also enjoyed camping at Stockton Lake with her family each year.

Beth is survived by her husband, Mike Brower, Carl Junction, MO; her son, Bryan Brower and wife Danielle, Pleasant Hill, MO; her daughter, Kylee Sparlin and husband Wes, Carl Junction, MO; her brothers, Tim Haynes and wife Teresa, Kevin Haynes and wife Dani; her sisters, Sue Ann Allen, Kathy Huff and husband Tobey; grandchildren, Braydon Brower, Landon Brower, Wyatt Sparlin, Adelynn Sparlin, Easton Sparlin, Lucey Brower, Waverly Sparlin, and Katherine Brower.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Mount Hope Church of Christ. Denny Kruze will officiate. Burial will be in Carl Junction Cemetery, Carl Junction, MO. The visitation will be 6-7 p.m. Friday at Mason-Woodard Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be given in memory of Beth to The Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks or the Leukemia Foundation in care of the mortuary.
