Andre Lenz

Andre Michel Lenz, age 82, of Celina, TX was born on February 20, 1939 in Lausanne, Switzerland to Ernest Joseph Lenz and Genevieve “Ginnette” (Zuberer) Lenz and joined our Heavenly Father in eternal life on Monday, February 7, 2022 during his stay at the Sam Rayburn Memorial Veterans Community Living Center in Bonham, TX.

Andre served honorably in the United States Army Special Forces (Green Berets) from February 1962 to December 1964. He served in Vietnam as part of the 5th Special Forces Group. Following his service in the U.S. Army, Andre worked in the sales industry for the majority of his career and owned AM Lenz Distributors prior to his retirement.








Andre Michel Lenz married Victoria “Vicki” LaRue (Webb) Lenz on July 3, 1975 in Miami, OK. Andre lived the majority of his adult life in Lamar, MO with Vicki, where they raised their three children. He loved Missouri and always considered it “home”. Andre enjoyed horseback riding, fly fishing, playing golf and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Vicki Lenz of Celina, TX; daughter, Jennifer McCoy and husband Kelby of Celina, TX; son, Zachary Lenz and wife Jen of Dallas, TX; daughter Ashley Lenz and husband AJ Rome of Elgin, TX; grandchildren, Ryan McCoy, Maddox McCoy, Holt Lenz, Hudson Lenz, Hart Lenz, and Remington Rome.

He is preceded in death by his father, Ernest Lenz; mother, Genevieve “Ginnette” (Zuberer) Guldner; stepfather, Dr. Edmund Guldner; sister, Christiane Guldner; and brother, Bernard Lenz.

Graveside services with military honors will be held at 11:15 am on Monday, February 28, 2022 at the DFW National Cemetery. Father Martin Moreno will preside.

Mr. Lenz will lie in state at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home during normal business hours Monday, February 14, 2022 through Wednesday, February 16, 2022 for those that would like to come by and convey condolences.
