Martha Wilson

Martha Ellen Wilson joined her Savior in Heaven on February 12th, 2022, at the age of 86. She lived a life blessed by her children and grandchildren whom she loved very much. 

Martha was a lifelong resident of Joplin and was married to James Murray of Joplin who passed away in 1981 and later married her second husband, Jerald Wilson in 1985. She was preceded in death by two children: Larry Murray and Kay Murray as well as several brothers and sisters.

Martha was a homemaker who enjoyed visiting with her family and playing games with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Christmas gatherings with family included famous baking sessions with the entire family where flinging flour at each other was a recipe for tasty cookies! She had a way of making one laugh with her quick wit and snappy retorts, and people loved her for that. She made many friends who will always remember her.

Martha is survived by her sons: James Murray of Joplin and Donald Murray (Elizabeth) of Cape Coral, FL. Grandchildren: Bethany (Terry) Collins of Springfield, MO; Jamie Murray of San Diego, CA; Nicholas Murray of Denver, CO; and Anzhelika Murray of Cape Coral, FL. Great Grandchildren: Emily and Aaron Collins of Springfield, MO.
