(From Paul Thomas Funeral Home)Katherine Mae Althouse, lifetime Miami, OK resident passed from this life Friday, February 11, 2022 at Integris Miami Hospital in Miami, OK. She was 78.
Katherine was born September 26, 1943 in Miami, OK to Willie "Bill" and Clara (Holt) Melton. She graduated from Miami High School in 1961.
She worked as a bookkeeper at The Hub Clothing Store for 18 years, Otasco, Bee Discount Dollar General and Sunkissed Floral all in Miami. She was a member of First Christian Church in Miami.
Katherine married Bill F. Althouse on January 12, 1980. Bill preceded her in death July 15, 2007. She was also preceded by her parents, her brother, Jerry Wayne Melton and her sister, Billie Carlene Gifford.
Katherine is survived by her brother-in-law, Paul Gifford of Tulsa, OK and her cousins, Jason Miller of Miami, OK, Kembi Miller of Miami, OK, Kelli Kinzer of Carthage, MO and Lori Marble of Neosho, MO.
Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, OK with Pastor Leon Weece officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to EOH, Effort of Hope, P.O. Box 244, Miami, OK 74355. Services have been placed in the care of Paul Thomas Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Miami, OK.
