Jackie Wyatt-Wright

Doris “Jackie” Wyatt-Wright, 95, passed away Friday, January 14, 2022 in Joplin, Missouri. Jackie was born September 9, 1926 in Cotton Wood Falls, Kansas to Ross Moore and Beatrice Britton. 

Jackie resided in the Carthage area for 70+ years. She was a homemaker, an avid reader in her later years, and a huge fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. Jackie also really enjoyed cooking and quilting. She was a member of the BB Liners, Christian Women’s Club, and the First Baptist Church in Carthage, Missouri.








Jackie married Everette L. Wyatt in Columbus, Kansas on April 5, 1947; he preceded her in death on January 21, 1998. Much later in life, she married Robert “Sam” Wright, an old high school friend who also preceded her in death on August 12, 2004.

Jackie is survived by two sons, Dan Wyatt and his wife, Carolyn of Carthage, Missouri, and Phil Wyatt and his wife, Kathy of Neosho, Missouri; four grandchildren, Matthew Wyatt, Gabe Wyatt, Kelse Wyatt, and M’Kenzie Shea Wyatt-Smith and her husband, Dallas; and one great-grandchild, Nora Shea Smith.
Jackie is also preceded in death by her parents, Ross and Beatrice Moore; and her four siblings, Lloyd Hunsucker, Floyd Moore, Paul Moore, and Opal Peters.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Ulmer Funeral Home. Burial will be at Paradise Cemetery in Jasper, Missouri at a later date.

Contributions may be made to the Carthage Public Library for big print Christian books, or your favorite charity in the care of Ulmer Funeral Home.
