Joan Sullivan

Joan Sullivan, Neosho, entered into the arms of Jesus at her home, at the age of ninety-three. Joan was born on January 6, 1929, in the Belfast Community, one of four children to Chester A. and Florence (Kulp) Wagner. She graduated from Neosho High School, class of 1947. 

Following graduating from high school, she worked as a teller at the Bank of Neosho and then a homemaker. Joan enjoyed quilting and cooking for her family. She was a member of the Belfast Baptist Church where she had served on several committees and as a Sunday School teacher. 








Joan and Clyde Reding were married in 1948 and he preceded her in death in 1965. 

On January 26, 1968, Joan and John Sullivan were married in Miami, Oklahoma and he preceded her in death on November 28, 2012. 

Joan is survived by two daughters, Gwen Guthrie and husband, David, and Raynea Snelson and husband, Keith, all of Neosho; four grandchildren, Melissa Ramon and husband, Andy, Jennifer Guthrie, Shea Vailes and husband, David and Jacob Snelson and wife, Kaitlyn; seven great-grandchildren, Maggie Shea Vailes, Haddie Raynea Vailes, Harlow Robin Snelson, Monroe Eleanor Snelson, Wells Andrew Snelson, Alex Ramon, and Evie Ramon; one brother, Chester Wagner of Neosho and one sister, Sharon Mikoliza of Joplin. 

Also preceding her death are her parents and a sister, Louise Davis. 

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 9, 2022, at 2:30 pm at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, Pastor Ric Stigman will officiate. Interment will follow in the Belfast Cemetery. Friends may come to the Clark Funeral Home on Friday, from noon until 5 pm, Saturday from 9 am until 1 pm, and Monday after 9 am.
