Nichole Burtis

Nichole Burtis was born September 20, 1966, in Wichita, Kansas, one of four children to Edgar Toomoth, Sr and Diane (Hollman) Toomoth. She entered into rest on May 5, 2022, in Joplin, Missouri at the age of 55. 

Nichole graduated from high school in California and moved with her family to the Southwest Missouri area in 1991. She had worked at Sunbeam, Wal-Mart, ABC Daycare and most recently at Scholastic. She enjoyed fishing at Big M, camping and being outdoors. Nichole was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Neosho.

 

On April 14, 1997, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, Nichole and Andy Burtis were united in marriage, Andy survives. In addition to her husband, 

Nichole is survived by two sons, Brandon Burtis and wife, Kelly, and Justin Burtis, both of Neosho; her mother, Diane Toomoth of Neosho; one brother, Ed Toomoth, Jr. and wife, Kelly; two sisters, Lorena Ryan and Cheryl Gullart and husband, Fred, all of Neosho and numerous nieces and nephews. 

 Visitation services for Nichole will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho from 5:00 to 6:30 pm. Contributions in memory of Nichole may be made to the Newton County Cancer Council, c/o Clark Funeral Home, PO Box 66; Neosho, Missouri 64850.
