Albert Palmer married Glenda Smith-Palmer, on February 29, 2008, in Joplin, MO, and joked often that he only needed to remember every 4 years, though he made sure each day was better than the last.

Albert's other love in life was music. Albert enjoyed playing any instrument, but most of all his guitar. Albert would play for anyone that would listen, passing this wondrous gift to many of his children and grandchildren. His love for music transcended time and space and was used widely in his life as a way to bring people together and express his love for life.

Albert was a loving loyal friend who was eager to help anyone in need. Albert was always sharing stories from his past and life lessons to help guide those who were eager to listen. Albert leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and joy for the life he shared with so many. He would want us to find him in the music, listen for his words through those beautiful melodies, and know he is waiting to play us sweet sounds when we meet again. "It's never goodbye, always see you later."
