(From Simpson Funeral Home)Doris Jean Thompson age 90 of Jasper, Missouri passed away on Monday, March 20, 2023 at her home. She was born on September 11, 1932 in Saffordville, Kansas to Fred L. Kennison and Adeline (Starbuck) Kennison. Doris attended Lamont, Kansas grade school until 7th grade, and school in Sheldon, Missouri for 4 years. She then completed 2 years at the Kansas City School of Business.
She retired in 2008 at the secretary/receptionist at the Tri County Cerebral Palsy Center in Webb City.
Doris married Jess J. Thompson on October 54, 1957 in Irwin, Missouri and he preceded her in death on September 21, 1988. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Donald Kennison.
Doris is survived by her 6 children, Jerry Owen, Ginny Allison, Susan Goldberg, Darryl Thompson, Vernon Thompson, and Rodney Thompson; along with 12 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 15 great great grandchildren.
