(From Parker Mortuary)Clyde Ellis Byram, age 76 of Joplin, Missouri passed away on March 21, 2023 at Freeman Hospital, following an extended illness.
Clyde was born November 14, 1946 in Mexico, Missouri to the late Wilfred L. and Dorothy Ellis Byram. After graduating school, he enlisted into the U.S. Army, where he proudly served our country from 1965 – 1968. He worked for OTASCO for over 20 years, retiring as an Assistant Manager. He was a member of the D.A.V. #51 of Joplin and had attended Forrest Park Baptist Church in Joplin.
On August 6, 1966, Clyde married Leslie J. Jordan in Joplin. They celebrated 56 years together in marriage.
Survivors include his wife, Leslie of the home; daughters, Deanna Byram of Joplin and Jennifer Porterfield of Springfield; 4 grandchildren, Erin, Marquis, Allyson and Emilee; 4 great-grandchildren, Kaison, Korah, Sawyer and Aubree; sisters, Mary Putnam and husband, David of Joplin and Beverly Stitt and husband, Dennis of Florida; many extended family and cherished friends.
Funeral arrangements have been planned for Monday, March 27th at 10:00 AM at Parker Mortuary. Family will receive friends on Sunday, March 26th from 3:00pm to 4:00pm at the mortuary. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Joplin Humane Society, in care of the mortuary.
