(From Clark Funeral Home)Grace ‘Evelyn’ Smith was born April 23, 1932 in California, one of twelve children to James Harvey and Nancy Grace (Harris) Romine. She entered into rest in the early morning of March 14, 2023 at her home, at the age of 90.
Evelyn was a lifelong area resident and a graduate of Diamond High School, class of 1950. She worked as a machinist at FAG for over twenty years before her retirement.
Evelyn enjoyed working in her yard, watching sports, but her greatest joy was being with family. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother and exemplified a true Christian servant. She was always there for her family and supported their endeavors. Evelyn was a member of Diamond Christian Church.
Evelyn and Bobby Mason Rickman were married on May 20, 1950 in Diamond and he preceded her in death on November 29, 1968.
She is survived by two children, Judy Ellison and husband, Fred of Diamond and Danny Rickman of Webb City; six grandchildren, Lori Hance and husband, Michael, Scott Ellison and Kristin, Shelley Rickman, Beau Rickman and wife, Maria, Mason Rickman and Zach Schuler and Cara; great grandchildren, Emily Hance, Malorie Hance, Megan Dean, Jaron McCully and wife, Hailey, Colton Rickman, Harper Rickman, Journey Rickman, Elicia Baker, Emily Tygart and Wilder Schuler and great great grandchildren, Athea and Amora McCully.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by eleven siblings.
The family will receive friends, Sunday, March 19, 2023 from 2 pm to 3 pm at the Diamond Christian Church and funeral services will be on Monday, March 20, 2023 at 10 am at the Diamond Christian Church. Contributions in memory of Evelyn may be made to the Diamond Christian Church.
